Hey there, beautiful souls!
I'm so excited to share a course that marks a real milestone in my yoga journey. An Embodiment Journey into the Eight Limbs of Yoga has been brewing in my heart for years, and it's finally here.
My Background
I've been teaching yoga for over 15 years now. My path started with Ashtanga, a practice rooted deeply in the philosophy of the Eight Limbs, and it's shaped everything about how I understand this teaching. This course is where that foundation finally meets the deeper philosophical work I've been doing for years through the podcast and my own study.
The Call to Share Philosophy
For years, my students kept asking the same questions. They wanted to understand yogic philosophy — the deeper meaning behind the postures, and how to actually live it. I'd point them toward podcasts and books I loved. And somewhere along the way, I realized I had my own way of teaching this that I hadn't shared yet.
The Heart of This Course: Chitta Vritti Nirodha
Everything in this course comes back to one teaching from the Yoga Sutras: chitta vritti nirodha — yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind.
I think of it like a lake. When the surface is disturbed, ripples distort everything you're trying to see. The moment the water settles, the reflection becomes clear. The Eight Limbs are the practice of settling that water, one limb at a time, until you can finally see clearly — yourself, your life, the present moment.
This isn't philosophy to memorize. It's a practice for the mind, built to be felt in the body.
A Journey Unfolds
This course lives at the intersection of everything I love to create: guided visualization, embodiment, and the wisdom of the ancient texts, made practical for daily life. It's an eight-day deep dive into the Eight Limbs, one limb per day, each one built around a thirty-minute audio embodiment journey.
Each day closes with journaling, so the teaching has somewhere to land beyond the practice itself.
Why This Approach
Yogic philosophy can feel vast, dense, and abstract when it's handed to you as concepts to remember. I know that feeling well — it used to overwhelm me too.
That's exactly why I built these journeys the way I did. Each one starts in the body and the breath, then opens into the teaching, so the philosophy has somewhere real to settle rather than staying stuck in the mind. You don't need to already understand the Eight Limbs to begin. You just need to be willing to sit with the lake and let it settle.
Join Me on This Journey
If you've spent time with my guided meditations on Insight Timer, this course is a natural next step deeper into that same world — mindfulness, embodiment, and self-discovery, built for the modern yogi who wants philosophy that actually lives in daily life.
